SHEPHERDS HUT & LOG CABIN
Shepherds Hut jump to Hare Cabin

The Shepherds Hut is situated in an area on the South side of our farm just off the South Downs Way trail itself. A deceptive space from the outside, this is an original Shepherds Hut that has been refurbished to offer cosy straightforward accommodation. It is fitted out with a double bed (4ft), breakfast bar/work top, kettle, fridge and heater.

For warmer times there is a table and chairs just outside for al fresco breakfasts!

The Shepherds Hut has its own dedicated toilet and shower facilities, which are separate but only a few metres between doors.

The breakfast included is a continental style selection (ie cereals, porridge, yoghurt, croissants, fruit juice) along with complimentary teas/coffee. This will all be available in the Shepherds Hut.

Things to do

There’s a wonderful network of footpaths and bridleways to explore the surrounding countryside and observe the downland flora and fauna. A short trip to the North takes you to Midhurst and to the South is the Weald and Downland Living Museum at Singleton, West Dean Gardens and a little further to the historical city of Chichester.

Archery - Through the warmer months of the year, we host the local Leaping Hart Club on Sunday mornings so an experience session can usually be arranged.

Directions/How to get to us

We really are right on the South Downs Way so if you are walking or cycling the trail just stay on it and you will come to us.

If you are coming by public transport the best option is the number 60 bus which runs from Chichester rail station to Midhurst and stops at the SDW cross roads, then it’s just a short walk up to the Farm or click here to find us on Google maps.
